Who owns the tip?
As a restaurateur, you know what it means to satisfy your guests. This includes, among other things, exceptionally good and attentive service and delicious food and drinks. In the catering industry, tips are given out of satisfaction with these very services. However, several parties from your workforce are now involved in providing the service. For example:
cook
waiter or waitress
dishwashers
So who owns the hong kong phone data tips in the restaurant industry? Is it the waiters who have direct contact with the guests and build a relationship with them for the duration of their visit? But without the cooks, there would be no food for the guests and without the dishwashers, there would be no clean plates. So it is a combination of your employees who can influence the tips. The (supposedly) easiest way would be for your service staff to keep 100 percent of their tips for themselves. This option does not require a distribution key for the tips.
By the way: Tips may not be used to make up for differences in the cash register .
There are two other solutions for a different distribution of restaurant tips :
You divide all the restaurant tips equally among your team. A particularly fair distribution key for the tips in this case would be a distribution per work shift, per day or per week.
You distribute the tips so that half goes to your waiters and the other half goes to the kitchen. This gives your service staff an incentive to provide particularly good service, and your other employees still get attention for their performance.
A fair distribution of tips is a form of recognition for your employees. In addition, a fair distribution gives you a good argument for convincing new staff to come to your restaurant and keeping good people in the business in the long term. This gives you another opportunity to counteract the shortage of staff in the catering industry . You can also use paying extra for working on public holidays , Sundays or at night that go beyond the legal minimum requirements as an employee benefit for your business.
