1. Automation for automation's sake
2. The desire to implement the product cheaply and quickly
3. Long decision-making period for implementation
4. Lack of understanding of how to calculate the effectiveness of implementation
5. Lack of communication with the LegalTech solution provider
6. Lack of communication with employees during product implementation

1. Automation for automation's sake
Often, companies conduct market research before implementation: they study existing solutions, vendor reputations, and potential benefits from implementation. At the same time, actions may be dictated not by the desire to find the best offers to solve specific problems, but by the fashion for automation or the desire to automate processes without delving into the real needs and tasks of departments.

The problem is that with such an analysis, the customer does not identify a specific pain point, but looks at the products in general, which help to optimize certain work processes. That is, the business task is adapted to the solution, and not vice versa.

We were approached by companies that wanted to automate work with contract templates. It all came down to quickly creating a new contract template that should reduce the time of employees' work.

When we proposed simpler solutions in the form of defining ready-made contracts that are already used by the company in practice and their subsequent templateization, the proposal did not find a response. Companies wanted the contract to be created "automatically".

In my opinion, these two approaches are absolutely identical in terms of the time spent by employees, but differ significantly in cost.

Another difficulty is that market solutions are most often studied not by the specialists whose tasks need to be solved, such as lawyers, but by employees of digitalization departments.

Their ultimate goal is to conduct research and generate a report, not to find solutions to problems, so after presenting the results of their work, the process stops.

Advice : If you believe that processes in your company need to be automated, identify specific requests from teams and functional departments and work with them to find solutions.
