A recent study from the University of Colorado at Boulder, the Broad Institute, Harvard, and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) found that people who wake up an hour earlier than usual can reduce their risk of depression by up to 23%. For those who wake up two hours earlier, that risk is even lower: 40%.

The study analyzed data from 840,000 people to better understand why waking up earlier reduces the chance of developing depression, particularly based on genetic predispositions.
