Small note: When we use "faire", we say "faire du" or "faire de la" + the name of the sport, so to play tennis, to swim. On the other hand, when we use "pratiquer", we use "pratiquer" + the name of the sport. To practice tennis or to practice swimming. We would not say "pratiquer du tennis", "pratiquer de natation".
Fifth alternative to "to do": the verb "to build". "To build" has the meaning of doing in the sense of making, building. It is used to talk about a building, a piece of furniture or an object.
For example, "to make a house" can be replaced, in a more correct way, by "to build a house". We can also replace the sentence "my son made a hut in the garden" by "my son built a hut in the garden".
Sixth: the verb "to carry out". It means to do an operation, to perform an action. There is the idea that it is something that is not necessarily easy to do. It is often used to talk about a task, a job, a calculation or a mission.
For example, we would replace “I researched things to see in Venice” with “I researched things to see in Venice”.
Seventh: “to commit.” To commit means to do a regrettable action, to do something rather bad.
For example, instead of saying "the children made a mistake", we would say "the children committed a mistake". Or, instead of saying "I did a bad thing", I would say "I committed a bad thing".
And finally, eighth: the verb "to provoke". It means to cause, to have as a consequence or to have as a result. negative, even violent.
For example, instead of saying "the bus driver poland whatsapp number data had an accident", it is better to say "the bus driver caused an accident". Or, instead of saying "the storm caused a lot of damage", we could say "the storm caused a lot of damage".
So there you have it, I hope you enjoyed it.
