Sensors on cars can detect potholes

Post by zakiyatasnim »

Another system developed by GlobalLogic engineers for the city collects data on potholes on the roads and also allows you to set a "green wave" at traffic lights, which, for example, helps fire engines or medical aid to pass quickly.

on the road and send the information to the cloud. Smart traffic lights, controlled from the center, can operate in a “green wave” mode when it is necessary to ensure the passage of ambulances

The so-called “yellow suitcase” is a proprietary development by GlobalLogic for the automotive embedded systems segment. Currently, manufacturers of premium cars are forced to duplicate all critical systems in a car. This means installing two processors, two chipsets, and two drives instead of one. This approach leads to significant production costs for automakers, as the duplication of systems affects the cost of the car. GlobalLogic proposed to create two virtual control systems based on one hardware chipset. The solution involves creating, using embedded code, essentially virtual devices that are completely independent of each other. If the first device freezes, the second one automatically turns on. This development was demonstrated at this year's CES exhibition in Las Vegas and received positive reviews from representatives of large American corporations. And Chinese automakers have even begun to implement the aforementioned system in their serial cars.
