Huawei launches IdeaHub, a 3-in-1 device for video conferencing, video presentations, and corporate meetings

The other day, Huawei introduced a rather interesting product for collaboration in Ukraine — IdeaHub . This is a universal device that combines three tools at once: an interactive whiteboard/flip chart, a presentation projection, and a video conferencing tool . But that's not all: in each mode, IdeaHub connects artificial intelligence technologies for a more optimal user experience.



Presentation projection / Bulletin board. The large IdeaHub screen (65″ or 86″) allows you to watch presentations during corporate meetings, as well as publish internal corporate announcements, newsletters, etc. The content can be flexibly defined based on scenarios.

Interactive whiteboard. In this mode, IdeaHub works as a digital flip chart. You can write on the screen either with a special stylus that comes with the kit or just with your finger. Different writing speeds generate strokes of different thicknesses, which helps to recreate a real analogue of writing. Intelligent mode recognizes handwritten text in many languages ​​(though Ukrainian is not supported yet) and can convert hand-drawn shapes into perfectly smooth geometric ones: a circle, an oval, a square, a rectangle, a line with an arrow, etc. The erase function of lines or letters allows you to edit what has already been written. Images or texts can be enlarged or reduced using gestures. Already written content can be moved around the screen to make room for new creativity.

Video conferencing tool. The most innovative features of IdeaHub are demonstrated in video conferencing mode. The integration of a large high-definition screen, professional 4K cameras, an array of microphones and high-quality speakers provide full-fledged video conferencing without connecting any external modules.



The 12-channel microphone array allows you to accurately determine the location of the speaker and aim the camera at him, the sound capture radius is about 8 meters , and the accuracy of determining the sound source is 0.5°. The AutoFrame function automatically adjusts the camera's tilt angle depending on the conference room and the number of participants. Thanks to the intelligent microphone array, IdeaHub offers such an original function as a virtual acoustic partition . If the speaker leaves the sound capture zone but continues to speak, the special noise reduction technology detects this sound signal as noise and reduces its level to almost zero. Thus, extraneous noise does not affect the quality of video conferences.

IdeaHub can be used with the Huawei VC enterprise platform , as well as the Zoom and Team cloud platforms.
