Facebook users' personal information has been leaked onto the web , another blow to the credibility of the popular social network. This time, the source of the leak comes from a user who is a member of a low-level hacking forum that published the data for all to see.

Apparently, the leaked information includes personal phone numbers, Facebook ID, full names, addresses, dates of birth, biographies and email addresses in some cases.

This massive leak is a big deal because it norway email list could provide ammunition to cybercriminals who want to impersonate or scam individuals for whatever means. What makes this leak so disturbing is that the hacker didn’t intend to sell it, but rather have it out there for free, meaning that many cybercriminals will have access to it.

It is not possible to determine who the people are due to the scale of the leak. However, according to the Business Insider article , we can confirm which countries are the most shaken. Facebook users from 106 countries are in the rut. This includes 32 million people in the US , 11 million in the UK , and 6 million in India . Alon Gal, CTO at Hudson Rock (a cybercrime firm), first came across the leaked information on April 3, 2021. However, he first learned of the situation in January of this year when someone announced; they had an automated bot for sale that could reveal millions of Facebook users’ personal data.
