2, a Russian mobile operator, has expanded its network coverage in Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygea by more than 5,000 square kilometers due to its participation in a federal program to eliminate digital inequality. The project under a government contract with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation is being implemented by Rostelecom with technological support from T2. Thanks to the program, T2 mobile communications and high-speed Internet have appeared in 123 small settlements in the regions.
to eliminate digital inequalit armenia whatsapp number databa se y (EDI 2.0) was launched in 2021. Its goal is to provide reliable mobile communications coverage and high-speed mobile Internet to small towns with a population of 100 to 500 people. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media together with Rostelecom. T2 acts as a technology partner and competence center: the operator develops design solutions, plans the network architecture and supplies equipment for its construction.
During the implementation of the UCN 2.0 project, the coverage area of the T2 network in Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygea increased by more than 5 thousand square kilometers. In Kuban, the operator carried out work in 37 districts, including Abinsky, Apsheronsky, Bryukhovetsky, Yeysky, Krymsky, Labinsky, Seversky, Tikhoretsky and others. In Adygea, the coverage area was increased in the Maykopsky, Takhtamukaysky and Shovgenovsky districts, as well as in the Maykop urban district.
In less than four years, high-quality communications and high-speed mobile Internet T2 became available to residents of 123 small settlements. Base stations operating in 2G/4G cellular network standards were installed in farms, villages, stanitsas and settlements. With the advent of mobile Internet and voice communications, modern telecom services became available to people living in remote settlements: video calls in messengers, social networks, government services portal services, watching movies and online learning opportunities.
"Today, high-quality mobile Internet helps residents of villages and farms use all modern digital services on an equal basis with city dwellers, including receiving medical, banking and other municipal services online. By participating in the implementation of the large-scale UCN 2.0 program, T2 expands the network coverage area in small towns, thereby providing the population with high-quality communications. The emergence of digital services significantly affects the standard of living of people in small and remote settlements, and also opens up new opportunities for them in various areas of life," commented Elena Yakovleva, director of the Krasnodar branch of T2.
"What is a modern lifestyle? First of all, the use of network capabilities for communication, business and comfortable life, digital services and reliable, fast Internet, which provides access to them. Each base station under the UCN 2.0 project connects a small or remote settlement with new technologies and services - government, banking, educational, and so on. By the end of the year, our company plans to launch another 19 base stations in remote areas of the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea, which will accelerate the arrival of Internet technologies in the outback and improve the quality of life of villagers," said Sergey Polyakov, director of the Krasnodar branch of Rost
