In order for a manager to be able to work with reporting, there is no need to hire additional employees. Usually, the formation of reports is the responsibility of existing employees - the sales department, accounting, HR. Usually, a company introduces a separate position of an analyst into the staffing schedule, who will only be engaged in this activity.
The work of an analyst involves higher risks, because he is responsible for the correctness of information processing, for the accuracy of forecasting, for the correctness of the recommendations provided. And employees engaged in the preparation of reports are responsible only for the completeness of the data and the correctness of their visualization.
Difference in data presentation
Analytics and reporting are different forms of data presentation. Reporting involves structuring raw data. The simplest form is to summarize these indicators in a table, but these can also be graphs or charts.
Analysts interpret these indicators and present them in the most visual form. For example, this can be a dashboard, i.e. an information panel with analytical data collected in blocks, with various graphic elements, or even a presentation.
