Reworking the internal link structure

Post by ahbappy250 »

In some cases, you can help resolve cannibalization issues by reworking your internal linking structure , especially when you're using exact match anchor text that points to different pages.

Reworking internal links so that they point to the correct page (not a cannibalized version) can help resolve issues. However, this is usually not enough to permanently resolve the issue.

Take this approach along with cleaning pages that free turkey number for whatsapp are competing for the same search intent to get a better result.

Page Merging
If you find that you have two (or more) weak pages that are cannibalizing each other due to intent competition, it makes sense to merge them into one page. In essence, you are creating a stronger page from multiple weak pages .

When you can't identify a clear main page that has great content, inbound links, or is already receiving traffic, this is usually the best approach to take.

It may also mean that new content needs to be added to improve the final page – make sure 301 redirects are put in place for any deleted pages or that changed URLs pass any ranking signals.

Creating new intent-focused content
A common cannibalization problem seen in e-commerce stores is that a single product page ranks for search terms related to the product range.

If this happens because there is no subcategory for the product range, solving the problem is as simple as creating a dedicated page .

When there is no page that matches the intent, create one. You should then see the problem go away because of the ability to satisfy this intent.
