How to disassemble a microwave magnetron and replace it yourself
Most often, the microwave oven magnetron cannot be repaired . If the part is worn out, depressurized, or the filament is broken, it is replaced with a new one. When the cap on the antenna or the feedthrough capacitor fails, they are replaced if tools are available.

Before disassembling and repairing, the system is checked for operability . First, pay attention to the power source. Weak voltage causes malfunctions in the device.

They inspect to see if the antenna cap is burnt, if there are any deformations, holes or traces of soot on the body and filter.
If no external signs of damage are detected, the magnetron is tested with a multimeter.
Disconnect the terminals with wires.
The tester is turned on and set to 200 Ohm mode.
The probes are connected to the terminals. If the winding is intact, the multimeter japan telegram data will show low resistance (about 0.5 Ohm), and a squeak or ringing will be heard. When the tester shows infinity, it means the filament has broken.
To test the pass-through capacitor, the device is set to the highest measurement mode.
One probe is connected to any of the contacts, the other to the body.
If everything is OK, the device will show infinity . When the capacitor is damaged, the charge breaks through to the body.

Note: Using a multimeter for home diagnostics does not always guarantee the accuracy of the data.

If the magnetron has a faulty antenna cap or feedthrough capacitor , the part can be disassembled and repaired.

Replacement of the cap
The oven is disconnected from the network, the casing is removed and the power plug is carefully dismantled . The fasteners are disconnected and the magnetron is removed. The cap is checked. If carbon deposits have formed on it, they are cleaned off with fine-grained sandpaper.
