Storytelling is the art of telling stories with a purpose; stories that connect, excite and reach the hearts of our audience.

You can create your own communicative speech or someone else's, whether real or fictional, the important thing is that it excites, that it transmits, that it is remembered.
There are no rules in storytelling: you can play with suspense, with bolivia phone number list questions, with humour, with typical situations, with riddles...
Communicative discourse helps us to make the message better understood and remembered (which is no small thing); but it also goes much further: it creates a bond and a connection with our brand.
The key is to find that emotion that helps us connect, and to do that we have to know our community very well.
Although all this sounds idyllic, there is a scientific part that supports it.
Watch out, now I'm going to resort to Logos to argue the Pathos.
Carlos Salas explains it very well in his book “Storytelling, magical writing”.
When we are told a story, many things happen in our brain and several neurotransmitters are activated: oxytocin and dopamine.
Oxytocin is linked to empathy , and there is no doubt that creating stories that connect requires a good dose of empathy, “the great social glue .” If you are able to empathize with your audience and have them empathize with you, you will be closer to building a strong and lasting relationship.
Dopamine is what killed the cat and is responsible for our curiosity . It is related to attention and if someone starts telling us a story, it is what encourages us to find out the ending .
Because in the end… “Stories are remembered, data is not.”
Although I don't know if Logos would agree with this statement.
