Google Penalties - Not Helpful with Natural Link Examples

Post by rochon.a1.119 »

In most cases, you are alone
When Google contacts webmasters, it usually does not provide examples of unnatural links.

You can expect to see a couple of examples of bad links pointing to your site only after you submit a second reconsideration request.

This is another factor that complicates the recovery of a penalty.

The problem is this: there are over 25,000 websites linking to my site and Google has not given me any specific examples of which of these links are the problem. Without any specific examples, I am supposed to check all 25,000+ links one by one, making assumptions about which ones need to be removed?

7.- Removing the penalty and recovering takes time
On average, it takes 2-3 reconsideration requests to lift a penalty.

As a result, it can take up to 6 months to remove an inbound link penalty.

If you are not careful and patient with filing reconsideration requests, you may even prolong the process.

Stay calm and follow all the steps outlined by Google.

Hi Kim! I know this is an old tweet but I'm curious because I'm in the same situation… How long did it take for you to receive a response?

With this in mind, establishing a monthly audit routine of your backlink profile will be a good habit to help you determine which links are causing you problems.
