Oil and Gas Industry Bets on Open Innovation

At the demo day, participants talked about interesting projects. One of them was presented by the technical director of Sibur Digital LLC Denis Yudakov - "Software for technological modeling". According to him, technological modeling was used in more than 50 processes of PJSC Sibur Holding and the effect from them exceeded 5.7 billion rubles. The new development should replace a similar product of AspenTech, which left the Russian market. Denis Yudakov noted that the working version of the product should appear in the first quarter of 2025. Deputy General Director of Aerogaz LLC Evgeny Voitenkov said that the solution will create "all the basic things from science in the format of cubes" that will be used by potential model developers.

According to Vice President of PAO Transneft Andrey Badalov, Russian companies are going the same way as Western ones, only dozens of times faster. He noted that, in addition to the 28 particularly significant projects approved by the government commission, there are more than 400 projects that are part of the IT landscape and are being worked on.
"We see how they are successfully implemented and used. The projects allow our companies to work economically and receive additional income. But we must not just copy foreign IT solutions - we must make them better. I think that around 2030, if we do not forget foreign solutions, we will very rarely remember them," said Andrey Batalov.
Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov, answering journalists' questions, said that particularly significant projects developed within the framework of the industrial competence center are financed by companies participating in the ICC.
"Two years ago we went beyond the perimeter of the ICC and OZP. Our industry has an IT landscape. It has more than 600 business processes, and our goal is to provide these processes with Russian IT solutions that will allow us to solve problems from geological exploration to processing and sales," concluded Alexander Dyukov.
