The beginning of the multinational company is quite curious, since at first it had nothing to do with marketing or advertising.

In 1985 , Martin Sorrell bought a majority stake in a small British manufacturer of wire baskets and teapots called Wire and Plastic Products. In 1987, he renamed it WPP and used it as a base on which to build an international advertising and marketing services group.

WPP has grown over the decades by acquiring various ecuador number data companies in the advertising and marketing industry. The group has evolved and adapted to the market as technology and AI have transformed marketing and advertising. This merger is a (big) step in its continued evolution towards new forms of communication.

Today, WPP is part of the so-called “Big Four” advertising agency companies, along with the giants Publicis, Interpublic Group of Companies and Omnicom. It employs approximately 107,000 people in 3,000 offices in 112 countries.
