Meta has teamed up with Amazon to boost shopping on its social platforms. The new feature they are developing will allow users to purchase products from the marketplace advertised on Facebook and Instagram.
Mark Zuckerberg's company has long been betting on making eCommerce part of its social networks , and although Meta gave up on its live shopping initiatives several months ago , it has not stopped working to find the formula that best fits its platforms and users. Its latest step towards this has been to work with one of the giants par excellence of e-commerce: Amazon.
Buy on Amazon without leaving Facebook and Instagram
This new feature that Meta is developing together with costa rica number data Amazon will be applied to selected products from the marketplace advertised on Facebook or Instagram. These items can also be sold by the giant itself or by independent sellers with a presence on Amazon.
This way, users will be able to purchase these products directly from both social networks , without having to leave them, with the convenience offered by fewer steps and platform changes. When a user clicks on an Amazon ad on Facebook or Instagram, they will be shown a simplified version of the Amazon product page with a prominent “Buy with Amazon” button.
For this to be possible, users will have to link their Facebook or Instagram profiles to their Amazon account . This way, the payment details and postal address registered by the user on Amazon will be applied directly to both social networks, allowing the user to complete the purchase from the product listing. You can see how it works in this video shared by one of the first users to test this feature.
