Fabio and I both worked half days on Friday so we would be able to make it up to New Jersey in time for Jay and Meg’s wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. We wound up getting stuck in some traffic on the way up, but we arrived just in time. Phew!
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Historic Smithville Inn, which was a beautiful old restaurant overlooking a small lake. We had a private room in the back of the restaurant and it was perfect for a rehearsal dinner!
as well – this one of the best Ceasar salads I’ve ever had!

There was also a buffet with a ton of delicious food options, and I filled up on green beans, potatoes, chicken, salmon, and penne alla vodka. Yum!

During the dinner a number of Jay and Meg’s friends and family got up to make speeches about the couple, which I thought was really wonderful. It was great to hear from so many people who love and support this beautiful couple!
After dinner and dessert (ice cream!) we hung around for a while chatting and catching up with our friends. I love spending time with this fun group!

Before long it was time to head back to the Stockton Seaview hotel where we were all staying (and where the wedding was being held). We spent the rest of the night hanging by the hotel bar!

The head tilt was a bit of an inside joke!

I also thought this man circle was pretty funny.

IMG_4629Hi friends! Those of you who are long-time CET readers know that reading is one of my favorite passions in life, and I plow through books like nobody’s business. In fact, I have a weirdly close relationship with my Kindle, and even though it cost me less than $130 it’s definitely one of my most prized possessions. Whether it’s getting lost in a book during my hour-long metro ride to work or reading a few pages in bed before falling asleep, nothing makes me happier than having a good book to read!
The food at the Inn was delicious
