Too often we forget about this risk and go our own way, as if we were talking to a video camera that cannot answer us instead of to people.

And instead the people are there, but separating you from them is a wall. It is a transparent wall, because you can see them, and they can see you, but it is there. And if you don't know how to break it down, you probably won't be able to get your message into the hearts of the people who listen to you.

How to achieve this?

All the public speaking techniques I just listed serve exactly this purpose, in reality.

But another important thing to do is to try to stimulate interaction.

Very often speakers avoid asking questions of the audience, because the idea that no one will answer makes them uncomfortable and the resulting silence terrifies them.

I, on the other hand, find that questions to the public are the best way to break down that wall, for various reasons:

they put the speaker in a position of vulnerability, creating empathy in the audience
encourage people to interact and react to what happens on stage
These are great moments of sympathy, if you know how to hong kong email list exploit them with a joke to break the ice
demonstrate the speaker's confidence and professionalism
In short, interacting with the audience, involving them, perhaps by asking for a show of hands or sounds, has enormous value if done well. It allows you to literally get off the stage and sit next to them, creating a completely different way of interacting.

Public speaking is truly an art, and like every art it has its techniques and rules. But it is precisely those who break them who often turn out to be winners.

Because in the end, when it comes to public speaking, there is only one thing that allows us to win: our authentic personality.

We all have something to give, in this sense, because we are all unique. Many of us, however, do not know how to bring it out, either out of fear or lack of opportunities.

Becoming better speakers means taking a journey inside ourselves, to discover and enhance that uniqueness, bringing it out in the best possible way.

Maybe these motivational phrases can help you , they will give you the right energy to face any difficulty, even that of speaking in public.

What do you think? Do you have other public speaking techniques and secrets to share?
