How to Prepare a Twitter Account Report (and 4 Free Tools) March 17, 2014

Knowing how a Twitter account evolves and what impact it has is key to assessing its performance on this social network. Preparing a regular report will help identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as potential areas for improvement to increase effectiveness.

What metrics should a Twitter account report include? It depends on the brand's goals, but at a minimum, it should include data on:

Followers: evolution in the number of followers, buy bulk sms service approximate geographic location, most influential followers, topic and/or sector to which they belong.
Diffusion: number and frequency of tweets, reach, messages that have received the most retweets and favorites.
Engagement: the total number of retweets, favorites, and mentions generated, as well as the number of lists the account appears on.
Responses: Number of responses issued and ratio to mentions, average response time, and busiest days.

It performs a complete x-ray of any Twitter profile: creation date, number of followers, lists it appears in, number of tweets that have received retweets and total retweets obtained, responses generated, average daily tweets, tweets that have registered the most favorites , mentions received, most influential and active users, most mentioned and most retweeted users, most used hashtags ... The free version only analyses the last 3,200 tweets and (importantly) does not allow you to select the date range for the report: if you want to make periodic and comparative reports you must hire the Premium option ($20 a month or $199 a year).
