Tigran Keosayan was born on January 4, 1966 in Moscow. His family was closely connected with cinema and theater: his father was the popular Soviet filmmaker Edmond Keosayan (director of the famous "Elusive Avengers"), his mother was theater and film actress Laura Gevorkyan (she worked at the Armenian Academic Drama Theater in Yerevan and starred in her husband-director's films). Tigran grew up with his older brother David, both boys understood from childhood that their lives would be connected with the film industry.
Tigran himself immediately got a job at the Mosfilm studio after finishing school, and a year later entered the directing department of VGIK. He interrupted his studies for military service in the Soviet Army Air Defense Forces, after which he was reinstated at the university. Since 1987, Tigran began acting in episodic roles in films, but he saw directing as his main calling. Keosayan Jr.'s first full-length film, Katka and the Schiz, was shot in 1992, and the director graduated from VGIK in 1998.

Together with his brother David, Tigran organized the Gold Vision tunisia mobile database studio back in the early 1990s, where he filmed music videos for popular artists and various commercials. Among the most famous clips by Keosayan is "Fox Violin" for the song by Igor Sarukhanov, in which the director's first wife, Alena Khmelnitskaya, starred. And among the commercials, the most popular was the musical and game sketch, filmed by order of the Moscow Fan Plant.
However, Tigran Keosayan's main goal was still big cinema. One of the director's first notable films was "Poor Sasha" with Vera Glagoleva and Aleksandr Zbruev in the leading roles. The film was released in 1997, and a year later received a TEFI in the category "Best Feature Film".
The series "Lily of the Valley Silver", where Keosayan acted not only as director but also as screenwriter, became one of the brightest television events of 2001 and won third place in the Grand Audience Jury competition of the Window to Europe film festival.
In total, Tigran Keosayan's directorial portfolio includes seventeen films and TV series, including "The Hare Over the Abyss", "Mirage", "Men's Work", "Yalta-45" and "The Crimean Bridge. Made with Love!" (in this film, the director also played a small role as a TV presenter).

Television came into the director's life in 2007. For two years, he hosted the author's talk show "Evening with Tigran Keosayan" on REN TV, and acted as a co-host in the New Year's show "New Year on the contrary". In 2009 and 2010, together with his wife Alena Khmelnitskaya, he hosted a show about the family life of movie and show business stars "You and I" on the Rossiya TV channel.
In 2010-2011, Keosayan's television career continued with various entertainment and author's talk shows on DTV and REN TV, and the director also worked for more than a year as an executive producer of the DTV channel. Keosayan also did not refuse to participate in television projects as an invited guest: for example, he was a jury member in the competition "One to One!" and the winner of the New Year's edition of the intellectual show "Your Own Game".
