Like Slack, Flock lets you create team channels, send chat messages, and transfer files.

So what's different about Flock? Flock offers video conference calls for up to four users for 20 minutes, even in the free version.

One downside is that Flock’s email notifications and automated bot messages

according to some users are a bit too much and cannot be turned off so easily.
Flock is best suited for small teams who want to test an easy-to-use collaboration tool and need video chats for up to four people.

Bonus: Flock offers an integration that allows you to order an Uber taxi via the app.

Upgrade cost: $3 per user per month

Important integrations: Asana, Uber

If Slack were to focus more on third parties such as manufacturers, partners, contractors, consultants and investors rather than just internal teams, it would probably look something like Ryver. Ryver has no limit on the number of members and guests and offers a lot of room for expansion, whether internally (employees) or externally (customers, freelancers).

Ryver is a versatile communications system. Since the free version offers unlimited messages, posts, teams, forums, and storage, it's a good option for smaller businesses that need a flexible tool that will grow with them without breaking the budget. Upgrade to get custom invitation messages and additional task users.

Although Ryver is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, more features of interest to large enterprises, such as SSO, audit histories and retention policies, will soon be available.

Upgrade cost: $49 for 10 users per month (about $4.90 per user)

Important integrations: Zapier

5th uShare.to (HyperOffice Collaboration)
iOS | Android

Don't be put off by the term "free trial" - it's actually a free version with no time limit. ( If that ever changes, let us know in the comments! )

If your company is medium-sized rather than small, you should take a look at uShare.to. The free version offers three shared workspaces, 90 minutes of meetings and 5 GB of storage.

The platform focuses primarily on insurance, real estate and automotive companies - companies that benefit from discretion and mobility. For these purposes, uShare.to offers SSL encryption, two-factor authentication, biometric authentication and device management.

The software offers few integrations and uses an "app builder" for plugins (although it does integrate with core digital asset management products like Dropbox and Google Drive). Other than that, however, it's a complete communications and productivity tool with calendars, contacts, tasks, document management, and notes, so you might not need the integrations at all.

Upgrade cost: $50 per user per year (approximately $4.16 per user per month)

Important integrations: OneDrive, Box

6th Wimi
iOS | Android

Slack alternative Wimi
Wimi set out to combine the best of Slack and its alternatives to create its own complete project management system . Big brands like Sephora, Shazam and Tesla rely on Wimi for their project management and communications - that suggests the software is doing something fundamentally right.

Wimi offers message threads, video conferencing, and advanced document management and editing features (such as file versioning, workflow approvals, and tags). It also offers numerous integrations including MailChimp, Slack, Asana, Trello, Jira, GitHub, and Freshdesk, as well as an open API and SAML V2.

The

biggest criticism of the reviewers is that the Wimi mobile app lacks some important features, such as full philippines telegram data calendar access.
Although the free version of Wimi offers unlimited messages and 10 GB of storage, it only allows three participants, which can undoubtedly be a bit low.

However, starting at €9 per user per month, you can upgrade to 250GB to 10TB of storage, unlimited projects and guests, and file sharing. If you like the free version but it's not enough, this is undoubtedly a worthwhile business expense.

Important integrations: Basecamp, Skype

7th twist
iOS | Android

TechCrunch writes: “ Twist is Slack without the annoying distractions .”

Doist, the company behind Todoist (a handy tool for Getting Things Done fans), brought some of Slack's core features to Twist, like message threads, searchable history, and numerous free integrations.
