Gartner: CIOs Must Prepare for Disruptive Impact of Generative AI

The rise of Generative AI (GenAI) poses risks and opportunities for IT and business leaders. In fact, according to Gartner, by 2027, AI performance will be recognized as a key economic indicator of national strength, ComuterWeekly reports.
CEOs believe GenAI will impact how they build more agile, adaptable organizations that are better prepared for the future. “GenAI represents an opportunity to do things that have never been possible at the scale of human existence,” said Daryl Plummer, distinguished vice president and analyst at Gartner. “CIOs and CEOs will need to embrace the risks associated with using GenAI to reap unprecedented benefits.”
