Defining precisely when Marketing emerged is practically impossible, since it is an activity as old as the first exchanges and sales made by ancient civilizations.

At that time, the marketing strategies we know today were already being used, with characteristics that were not as well defined, but rather similar.

The way you communicate with the goal of showing the value of your product or service to your consumers with the intuition of closing a sale seems very basic, but it is marketing.

Nowadays it is easy to identify which brands and companies work on Marketing in an exemplary way and which ones need to dedicate themselves more.

Nowadays, marketing has become so essential to any bosnia and herzegovina phone data purchasing process that companies that don't do it well are practically despised.

What is the origin of marketing?
Although it is a relatively new field of research and knowledge, marketing has been present in our lives for a long time.

Most scholars say that marketing as we know it originated in the early 1900s, but the definition of the concept itself says that: “… marketing involves the identification and satisfaction of human and social needs.”

Well, we all have needs and humanity has had them even before 100, right?

According to studies, transactions evolved from ancient times to the 19th century, taking the form we know them today.

Marketing as a field of study emerged when competition between companies became fierce and marketers began to create theories on how to attract their audiences and increase their sales.

The thinking at the time was “sell at any cost.”

That idea began to gain more traction at the end of World War II, in 1945, when the United States was recovering from an economic crisis and industries needed to sell more, at any cost.

The word marketing is derived from the Latin word “mercare,” which referred to the act of trading in Ancient Rome. Later, it became a symbol of increasing efforts to boost sales.

Well, to be honest, at the beginning of everything, marketing techniques were based on lies and exchanges to deceive the consumer.

It's a good thing we evolved into Inbound marketing , right? PT Barnum was the great mentor of these practices, through his book The art of money getting.

Much of the distrust of marketing professionals comes from the practices suggested in that book. Thanks a lot, PT!
