Custom fields are an important part of customizing Nutshell for your business needs and organizing your CRM contacts. Nutshell lets you create custom fields for people, companies, and leads to gather and manage information like customer order numbers, important dates, and ICPs.
With the newest custom field enhancements, you can also add descriptions to custom fields to provide your team with additional context about the purpose of your fields. Learn more below.
How do custom field descriptions work?
All Nutshell customers can now add descriptions to their custom fields, making it easier for them and their team members to remember what each field is being used for in their organization.
This feature will benefit teams that have many custom fields, a large number of people using Nutshell, or more specific organizational needs.
Some use cases for custom field descriptions include:
Add a description like, “Used in our new customer onboarding form” qatar number for whatsapp to custom fields that are mapping customer information collected through your Nutshell forms, so everyone can remember which form is generating the data.
Provide guidance to sales reps filling out the custom field.
Make it easier to onboard new team members to Nutshell.
Besides the ability to add descriptions everywhere you can create custom fields (including in company settings, when adding stage goals to your sales automation, and in Nutshell forms), you can also hover to view custom field descriptions on Lead, Person, and Company pages.
