Planning for the Future
Modern construction industry representatives are responsible for the design and construction of "green" buildings not only today, but also for decades to come. Let's consider what is needed to create such objects and why it is important:

In addition to being a major source of CO2 emissions, concrete is difficult to dispose of when a germany phone number list building reaches the end of its useful life. It is still better to use materials such as steel for the frame of the building, as it is less polluting during production and is much easier to recycle. It is also preferable to look at locally produced raw materials, as they leave a smaller carbon footprint than imported materials.

When choosing cladding, it is worth paying attention to environmentally friendly wood. The variations in shades that natural wood has can give a unique aesthetic to any “green” building. The same can be said about some metals: Corten steel has a special rust coating that combines visual appeal and durability. The melting point of aluminum is two times lower than that of stainless steel, which reduces the amount of energy needed to process or produce it, including for use in interior structures (for example, stairs).

Integration of renewable energy sources
District heating systems have been heating European homes and businesses for over a century using combined heat and power plants, and technologies like geothermal heat pumps have been on the market for decades. Alternatively, solar panels can be installed on any flat or south-facing roof.

Another renewable energy source is wind turbines. They are often controversial due to their appearance, but small units can be attached to or integrated into a building. This would reduce the constant demand for external sources and could even result in building owners selling energy back to suppliers. If every residential and commercial building in Europe could produce its own electricity, fossil fuel-consuming power plants would one day become redundant.

One of the successful examples of a green construction project is the Eden Botanical Garden in England. The complex of buildings managed to implement many ideas of the ESG agenda.
