Nofollow links
Nofollow links prevent (prevented) the flow of PageRank from being passed through until it recently became a clue.
Historically, SEOs sometimes used the NoFollow attribute to sculpt kazakhstan mobile database PageRank flow, based on the theory that on a page with 5 external links, PageRank could pass through a link if 4 of the 5 were nofollow.
In 2009, however, Google's Matt Cutts confirmed that this would no longer work and that the PageRank flow would be distributed among all links even if the NoFollow attribute was present (but would only be passed through the follow link).
Many SEOs became obsessed with PageRank and it quickly became the SEO tactic they focused on the most, even above creating great content and a solid user experience.
