PJSC MTS announces the implementation of a comprehensive project to introduce digital technologies in the city public transport of Obninsk, Kaluga Region. The company equipped city buses with intelligent devices and sensors that make public transport trips safe and comfortable for city residents. Passengers now have the ability to pay for travel contactlessly, navigate the route using voice and visual information, and a new level of service due to a system for monitoring the condition of the bus and the driver's behavior.
For the convenience of passengers, MTS has equipped public transport in Obninsk, including large-capacity MAZ and NEFAZ buses, with contactless fare payment devices — validators located on handrails in different parts of the cabin. All smart vehicles are equipped with digital displays and information text boards that inform about stops, show the date, time, and important messages from emergency services. A video surveillance system has been set up at the entrances and exits of the buses, which allows transport drivers to safely drop off city residents at stops and close doors without risk to passengers, as well as promptly prevent emergency situations.
