According to him, at that time the Mediterranean Sea was colder and much shallower than it is now, and the place where the circles are located today was shallow water - the depth at that time was about 20 meters.

Scientists studied the potential impact of temperature and sea level fluctuations over thousands of years on the growth and death of algae that could potentially form the circles. It turned out that the circles formed over three chronological stages.

The first lasted from 18,000 to 21,000 years ago, the second from 8,000 to 18,000 years ago, and the third is still ongoing. The study showed that seawater at the peak of the Ice Age let more sunlight through to the bottom than it does now, promoting the development of dome-shaped communities of red algae. Melting glaciers and rising sea levels led to the death of the algae. New algae grew on top of the dead layers, and all this together gradually formed circles.

The new rhodolith algae simply began to envelop the calcium chunks created by the dead plants. The chunks of algae had been rolling down the slope from the ledge for centuries, settling around the base in perfect circles. Simple gravity formed the circles, the researchers conclude.

Crystal tableware can pose a real threat to vnpay database if used to store and prepare fermented and pickled foods, said Andrey Dorokhov, associate professor of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at A.N. The specialist explained that crystal contains lead, a toxic metal that can enter the body and accumulate in bones and tissues, causing anemia, kidney failure, nervous system disorders and problems with reproductive function.

"Even a small amount of lead can cause serious health problems, including poisoning. Under the influence of acidic environments, such as vinegar, lead is gradually washed out of crystal. For example, sauerkraut contains lactic acid, which is formed during the fermentation process. This acid reacts with lead, accelerating its transition to a soluble state. A similar situation is observed with marinades containing vinegar or other acids," the expert said.
