"We see exponential growth. Since bolivia whatsapp number database the Russian film industry is very dependent on government support, the state's share of participation in production is very large. Therefore, we expect the market to grow, the number of projects to increase, and the use of technologies in them to increase. This makes the process cheaper and more convenient. We are optimistic about the future of technology in various areas of media content production," said Yuri Yarushnikov, director of films and events, creator of a studio for the production of media content using Virtual Production XOVP technology.
industry have named several key trends for 2024. One of them, XOVP CEO Rostislav Musaev, outlined the trend towards using more realistic visual effects technologies VFX (VR, XR): "The viewer and anyone who touches technology wants a more realistic picture and full detail. When you develop something new, it is difficult to instill confidence in this technology. But over time, everyone gets used to it and wants more. And technologies are developing very quickly. For example, Midjourney was released a little over a year ago and initially generated terrible pictures. But now you can no longer tell whether the picture in front of us is real or created by a neural network. And over time, a large number of people around the world began to use the service."
Alexey Khramtsov, head of the Sber ecosystem's Metaverse Technology Center, spoke about the trend for so-called digital influencers: "We are used to live, real actors, but now the trend for integrating digital characters and extras into the film industry will actively spread. These characters are called digital influencers. Various content is already constantly released with them, especially in advertising. Now the trend is coming to cinema. In the future, we will make content where some kind of character animation regularly and very quickly reacts to what is happening in the world. This process will proceed much faster than conventional filming."
Lead developer of XOVP Alexander Pasechny believes that one of the main trends will be the trend towards internal R&D (research and development): "If the case does not have a ready-made solution, then the only way out is R&D. Sometimes we are faced with a task that no one has ever solved. Accordingly, we take and figure out how to do this with the help of new tools or developments that we have just received. Each new project is a search for something new. And the political situation dictates the trend towards internal R&D. This is our form of import substitution, in which we have to exist and find solutions to new problems."
Sergey Demchev, founder and executive director of the studio for the production of full-length animated films, series, and video games Magic Factory Animation, believes that in order to create original content, you need to constantly come up with something new: "Each project is individual. There is no universal panacea that will allow you to produce only good content. This is a constant search and experimentation. Due to the fact that cinema has very specific and different tasks, it is impossible to solve them according to the standard or in a one-sided way. It is very cool that the industry is moving towards cinema. Until now, advertising products were filmed, but with cinema everything was much more complicated. There are a lot of questions and tasks from both performers and customers. Here it is important to reach a point where the customer has confidence in the competencies of the performers, and then things will go faster and better."
