The number of emails that Russians send to each other has doubled in the last five years, according to a study by the Russian email service Unisender for Russian Post Day, which Izvestia has reviewed.

"During the pandemic, the singapore whatsapp resourcenumber of mailings remained virtually unchanged, and compared to 2019, their activity even decreased slightly: during quarantine, users preferred instant messengers and social networks. But in 2022, after popular social networks were blocked and advertising opportunities were disabled in Google and YouTube, many companies "switched" to email. The number of mailings increased sharply: from just over 100 thousand in 2021 to 130 thousand in 2022 and 180 thousand in 2023," Unisender co-founder Konstantin Gushchin told Izvestia.

Email newsletters have become especially popular among entrepreneurs and bloggers.

"People increasingly choose email to communicate with brands: in terms of the ratio of public and private, annoying and convenient, mail wins even over rapidly developing messengers. Thus, users of high-quality mail services rarely encounter spam and unwanted messages, and can conveniently filter letters," the service noted.

In addition, Unisender explains the popularity of email newsletters by the fact that they do not require immediate attention and action; many people open them at a truly convenient time, which means they respond better.

In 2024 and the next few years, the growth of mailings will not stop, but will become smoother: there will be approximately 5% more letters each year, the service added.

In November 2023, Maria Anisimova, a research programmer for the Mail.ru machine learning team, told how mail services manage toMinimize the receipt of unwanted emailsusers using machine learning technologies - ML models.
