Metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of agile development methodology The efficiency of work within Agile is assessed taking into account the diversity of tools, practices, and methods. Metrics are used for this purpose. For most projects, four areas of metrics are sufficient: Performance is the Velocity and WIP metrics . It is worth mentioning that the first one cannot be used for any project, since it measures the number of tasks completed per iteration, and they are not equivalent.
The Work-in-Progress metric evaluates the task limit at line database stages - the higher this indicator, the worse. Forecasting – the C metric is used . Here, the number of ideal hours available for the next sprint is determined. This way, the team understands how much time they have to work, how effectively the tasks are completed, and how to plan their number for the sprint. Quality – the requirements stability index is used to measure it . This indicator is calculated using the formula.
