Beer hour counterWhich is better?

Which tools are useful?
What tools are useful for this? I'll list two for you:

Geckoboard
Geckoboard supports many external services from which you can easily extract data, such as Twitter, Facebook, Mailchimp and Google Analytics. The widgets are generally limited in their customization and you cannot always present the data as desired. You can have Geckoboard read external data via XML. And there too you notice the limitations of the standard widgets. You can also load Excel data.

Marketing (and social media), Development, sales teams and support teams benefit the most from Geckoboard. A Finance department gets a bit of a raw deal with this tool, and will have to make do with an Excel link and self-written links.

Clipfolio
Klipfolio has far fewer standard packages that you can link. However, the links, such as those of Google Analytics, go into more depth.

Commonly used data sources are files, direct XML links, Google Drive files bolivia mobile phone number list Google Analytics, Facebook (graph API and therefore insights!), Dropbox, Box, Salesforce and a direct SQL link. The fact that you can write directly to the Facebook Graph API and talk SQL to various database systems makes the package interesting. You also have many more presentation forms: tables, values, many graph types, but also RSS feeds and iframes.

Because there are fewer standard connections, you will indeed be building longer, but because the existing connections go 'deeper', you will have much more control over the types of KPIs and their presentation form. The packages supported by Geckoboard often have APIs that you can access directly from Klipfolio, but you will then have to struggle through the API documentation yourself.

Because the possibilities of Klipfolio are so much greater, you have to think carefully about which KPIs you want to present. In that respect, Geckoboard is a great start and a place where you can practice and get to know the possibilities. Klipfolio is then the second step. There are many more tools, but the two packages that I discuss here are the web-based systems that are mentioned and used the most. If you want to go more into the analysis side, take a look at Zoho reports . If you want to go a step further, you end up in the Qlikview corner, but that involves different rates and training.

I can't say whether A or B is better. Our Development department uses a number of tools and these can all be linked to Geckoboard as standard. Geckoboard is therefore fine for our Development team. Our Advice department, the people from marketing and communication and the heroes from Finance, use systems that we can easily unlock via a MYSQL link. That is why we choose Klipfolio.
