Today, we pay homage to everything Irish. Let’s drink to St. Patrick’s Day! Allow us to celebrate with you through what we do best: design.

But first, how did this special day come into existence, and why do we celebrate it?

Drink to St. Patrick’s Day
This holiday is a commemoration of St. Patrick, the lebanon telegram saint of Ireland. Despite his harsh experiences as an enslaved person brought to Ireland, he, later on, escaped and returned, bringing Christianity into the island.

Mythology now clouds the saint’s death in the fifteenth century. When he introduced Christianity to the Irish, some say that he explained the Trinity through their famous shamrock (Irish clover.)

Pretty religious holiday if you ask us. But what changed the course of this celebration was on March 17, 1601. In America, the celebration of the first St. Patrick’s Day Parade was in modern-day, St. Augustine, Florida.

Centuries later, Irish soldiers, who came to fight under the English army, got homesick. Thus, they marched in New York on March 17, 1772, to honor the Irish patron saint.

As the years went by, Irish patriotism continued to blossom. Thus, by 1848, societies called the Irish Aid emerged and celebrated the day in their own way. They united and created the world’s oldest civilian parade and the largest in the US.

Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s get into the awesome logos for this occasion. We divided the designs into four categories to give you organized access.
