Threads is now the most downloaded app in Spain, will it manage to stay on top?

Threads arrived in Europe on December 14, five months after its launch in the US, and its entry into the continent has been a triumphant one.

Meta's new text-based social network racked up 2.6 million downloads in Europe during its first three days of operation , according to information from the Data.ai portal . Likewise, if there is one European country that has received Threads with more enthusiasm, it has been Italy , with 1.06 million downloads during these first three days. This is followed by Germany (550,000), France (440,000), Spain (350,000) and Poland (45,000) as the countries that registered the highest volume of downloads of the application.

Looking at more recent data also extracted from Data.ai, Threads is the most downloaded app in Spain over the last seven days on both Google Play and iOS . Similarly, if we focus the filter on social media bosnia and herzegovina number data apps, Threads is the most downloaded app for Android and iOS over the last 30 days (of which, remember, it has only been active for the last 12).

But if it follows the US lead, Threads will not have a bright future in Europe
While Threads' reception in the US was spectacular (in less than a week it had already surpassed 100 million active users), this did not last long . The novelty effect does not last forever, and if users do not find something really interesting, valuable or different in your product, they will quickly forget about it.

This is arguably what happened to the social network, as one month after its launch, Threads had lost 79% of its users in the US . In addition, daily usage time was also reduced by 85% , going from an average of 14 minutes to just 3 minutes.
